What Your Hair Style Says about Your Personality
Not many people are aware that the hair style they choose may, in fact, be a representation of their personality. In most cases, hair styles are able to communicate who we are to others without the need for any verbal communication. While some women are eager to try and adapt to a new style, many others many not be as comfortable.
Always Perfectly Styled
Many women insist on being perfectly groomed and styled, even if they are spending the day at home. This could be an indication that they are happiest when everything in their lives is in order. While this may be a good habit to learn if you deal with the public on a daily basis, it may be good for your health and personality to literally let your hair down once in a while. Those who take time out to relax and not constantly worry about their appearance are often happier than those who don’t.
Hair that is Long and Flowing
This is usually among the most popular hair styles for women because it suits most of them. A long and straight hair style or even one that is long and flowing could be indicative of a woman who is youthful, carefree and low-maintenance. Women who are self-conscious about features such as protruding collarbones, skinny necks or bony shoulders may be able to use longer hair to hide the parts that they may not be happy with. For women who would like to feel sexier about their appearance, opting for a longer style may be a good idea.
Shorter Hair Styles
These styles may include various types of bobs. The main advantage is that they are usually low-maintenance, requiring minimal time to wash and blow dry. Women who sport shorter hair styles usually thrive on simplicity and convenience with their hair as well as in other areas of their lives. Bob styles that are somewhat shorter than usual can indicate higher levels of assertiveness as well as an air of professionalism in some individuals. This is especially true for high-powered career women.
Various Types of Ponytails and Bangs
Those who choose a ponytail for their hairstyle are usually labelled as those who are comfortable with showing off all aspects of their facial and neck areas. Women who prefer to style their hair with bangs and noticeable fringes normally possess stronger personalities and are often perceived as being more youthful than others. If a woman is not comfortable with changing her entire hair style at once, it can often be updated with the addition of bangs. If someone displays any pixie-type of hair style, she can be perceived as being self-assured and confident.
Although these traits may not always be indicative of a person’s particular personality, in many cases a hair cut or even a simple restyle can reveal a lot more about personality than they initially realize. Sometimes all that is needed for a person to feel better about themselves is a simple change in the way they wear their hair for the world to see.
